Maximum Fighting Championship

ORGANIZATION

Through dedication, determination, and an unquenchable desire to succeed, the Maximum Fighting Championship has become one of the fastest-rising mixed martial arts promotions in all of North America.

The MFC has made incredible strides recently including the biggest announcement in company history – the signing of multi-fight broadcast deals with HDNet, the American cable giant headed up by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. The partnership provided fans of the MFC across the United States, Canada and Mexico the opportunity to watch the shows live on HDNet Fights.

Following that announcement, the MFC added another broadcast partner with the Fight Network, one of the premier combat sports cable networks in the world. Fans are now able to see previously unaired MFC productions as well as all fight cards from 2008-2009 following their run on HDNet.

Most impressively, the Maximum Fighting Championship has maintained a record for sold-out shows that stretches more than two years. Shows are now selling out at an incredible rate, often more than month prior to fight night. It is a testament to the popularity of the MFC’s talented fighters and to the electric atmosphere in the building every time the MFC puts on a show. The MFC has launched itself to the forefront of organizations and the attention from mainstream media has never been greater.

The MFC’s exclusive home in Canada is the River Cree Resort and Casino, located just outside the “City of Champions” Edmonton, Alberta. The Venue at River Cree has seen new champions crowned and some of the very best action the MFC has ever had, and that same intense action and sensational vibe will be there as the MFC takes on its next bold initiative. In 2009, the MFC will host its first-ever shows in the U.S.

The MFC has welcomed some of the very best fighters from around the world into its ring such as some of the most high-profile originators like Hall of Famer Dan “The Beast” Severn and Bas Rutten. In an effort to support the explosion of interest in the sport of mixed martial arts, the MFC sponsored fighter seminars instructed by superstars Georges St. Pierre and Tito Ortiz.

As the MFC rose in prominence so too did the caliber of fighters. The MFC groomed Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald into being one of the UFC’s top middleweight contenders and re-ignited the flame behind the resurgence of UFC standout Patrick “The Predator” Cote.

Now the next wave of mixed martial arts stars are immerging particularly the MFC’s proud champions such as Roger “The Hulk” Hollett and Pat “Bam Bam” Healy along with blossoming stars like Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford, Donald “The American Stud” Sanchez, Emanuel “The Hardcore Kid” Newton, “Smooth” Ben Henderson, and Ariel Sexton just to name a few.

The Maximum Fighting Championship is a labor of love for our staff – all of whom put in countless hours so they can bring the best show possible to our fans and corporate sponsors. While other organizations need a staff of dozens to pull off a minor show, the MFC has just a core group of key people that step up every time to deliver our events. We understand what the fans want for their entertainment dollar and aim to surpass their expectations each time.

The MFC has not forgotten its humble roots which has made everyone associated with the organization committed to supporting those less fortunate. The MFC has organized events to feed the homeless, made donations to several charities, and hosted several celebrity poker tournaments which have raised thousands of dollars for children’s charities. Our fighters and staff have been joined by our biggest corporate sponsors and athletes from other sports at many of these events to make them all truly special.

The Maximum Fighting Championship’s events and fighters have never received more exposure than now and the spotlight will only get brighter in the future. With efforts to constantly improve and the willingness to think “outside the box” the MFC will continue to flourish and shine.
