Feb 20, 2010 By MFC Staff

Derrick Noble is hoping a second opportunity at reaching an MFC title shot is within his reach.

The hard-hitting lightweight enters a key showdown at MFC 24: Heat XC on Friday, February 26, and "The Eraser" is targetting a win over "The Texas Gunslinger" Yves Edwards in the main event to get right back into the title picture. Noble will detail his plan of attack and plans on a second shot at the MFC crown when he joins T.J. DeSantis on Sherdog Radio Monday, February 22 at 4 p.m. ET/2 p.m. MT/1 p.m. PT. Catch the show at www.sherdog.com.

Noble (25-12-1) made a splash in his MFC debut with a sparkling second-round submission win over Ariel Sexton at MFC 19 in December 2008. The Champlain, Minnesota, product vied for the vacant MFC lightweight championship at MFC 20 and set the tone early with a strong first round, but was unable to capitalize from that point on and surrendered a unanimous decision to current reigning champ Antonio McKee.

Noble is one of the most rugged customers in the 155-pound division with a career highlighted by impressive victories over Thiago Alves and Jake Ellenberger.

Just a few tickets remain for MFC 24: Heat XC. Tickets can be purchased through the MFC Ticket Hotline at (780) 504-2024 or via Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca or charge-by-phone (780) 451-8000.
