Maximum Meltdown Contest
May 28, 2009

It all started innocently over a luxurious dinner. It turned into a heated debate and has now become the first-ever Maximum Meltdown Contest.
Two of the MFC’s major corporate sponsors are going head to head in a showdown, but this is one is outside of the ring. And their weigh-loss rivalry could lead to you getting an all-expense-paid trip to see MFC 22: Payoff on Friday, September 25 at the River Cree Resort and Casino.
Jennifer Bell-Fields of the River Cree Resort and Casino and Craig Anstead of Paradise RV were among a group having dinner before MFC 21: Hard Knocks. When talked turned to weight loss, the pair decided in good-natured fashion that it was time to drop some pounds but then their competitive streaks took over. Challenges went back and forth, and right in front of MFC Owner/President Mark Pavelich - a good friend of both sponsors.
With the verbal venom flying, the matchup was finally set. Jennifer and Craig will battle between June 1 and August 1 to determine the winner.
Jennifer, who grew up in Las Vegas and was the executive host at the Bellagio before becoming Paragon Gaming's executive manager of player development based at the River Cree, is married to professional boxer Tye Fields and they have two children. Craig is an avid sports fan especially auto racing and mixed martial arts, and operates one of the most successful recreational vehicle chains in Western Canada.
The winning contestant in the Maximum Meltdown Contest will receive a case of premium exclusive wine from the loser. But it is the loser who may need a shot of courage of the most. The losing contestant will have to streak down two holes of the golf course near Mark Pavelich's residence on the evening of Saturday, August 1. Updates will be on the MFC website www.maximumfighting.com on the Maximum Fighting Video Blog.
Both contestants hit the scale for the official pre-contest weigh-in late last week:
Jennifer Bell-Fields - 227.4 lbs
Craig Anstead - 257.6 lbs
There will be a big winner between them but there will also be a big winner amongst MFC fans.
