Who's in line for crack at McKee?
By MFC Staff -

Fine crop of lightweights could get shot at title when MFC 22 rolls around
Antonio McKee touted a take-on-all-comers attitude on the subject of
defending his MFC lightweight title.
"Mandingo" gutted out a convincing five-round decision over Derrick Noble at MFC 20 back in February to take the crown and then promptly served notice
that he wouldn't back down from any challenger the MFC brass could throw in
front of him. So who is in line to face McKee (22-3-2) in the likelihood
that the 155-pound belt is up for grabs come Oct. 2 at MFC 22: Payoff?
There are some interesting names out there, especially some well-known faces
who would jump at the chance to wear meaningful gold around their waist.
* Rich Clementi - "No Love" has won seven of his last nine fights and would
likely put the pressure on McKee. Clementi (33-14-1) has a great pedigree
that includes wins over Sam Stout and Melvin Guillard, and is certainly a
crowd favorite.
* Chris Horodecki - A product of Sam Tompkins' camp, the Canadian kid has a
stellar record and definitely loves to bang having won six of his first
seven fights by knockout. "The Polish Hammer" (12-1) is a serious contender.
* Marcus Aurelio - Having already been in serious talks with the MFC, this
would be an interesting encounter as "Maximus" and McKee fought in 2003 with
McKee edging out a split-decision victory. McKee has openly said he'd finish
Aurelio (17-7) much easier if a rematch comes about.
* K.J. Noons - Maybe a longshot, but there's been talk before about him
taking a run at the MFC title. Noons (7-2) has the stand-up game to give
McKee trouble.
* Din Thomas - Could be more of a featherweight bet, but seems to having
trouble making 145. A seasoned veteran (24-8) with enough speed to contend
with McKee's wrestling abilities.
