My Predictions for MFC 16-Anger Management

*Full Fight Card Details
Ryan Ford (5-0) vs. CJ Fernandes (14-6) – Welterweight Division
Ryan Ford just seems to get better and better every fight! His submission victory over Pete Spratt was very impressive and he’s the man to beat right now in the MFC welterweight division. UFC veteran Fernandes is just coming off a TKO victory after having a 3 year lay off from fighting. Will he be too rusty to take on a game Ryan Ford? I’m sure his trainer Matt Hughes is whipping him into shape as we speak, but I hope Hughes is bringing his bible into Fernandes corner because he will need all the help he can when he faces off against Ford’s super natural strength. Ford is the only man the can beat ford, is he ready mentally? Focus is key! My guess: Ford by TKO round 1- but I’m not counting CJ out (for the record)
Chase Gormley (5-0) vs. Eric Pele (11-4) – Heavyweight Division
Gormley was on a tare in 2007, beating anybody in his way with a couple KO’s and a couple submissions proving he’s very well rounded. On the other hand Pele’s been losing weight by the minute dropping from 335lbs to a fit 265lbs; Pele in good shape can change this heavyweight division upside down. Will Gormley be able to distract Pele with a cheeseburger while he uses his superior wrestling to take him down? My Guess: Pele by KO round 2
Matt Veach (6-0) vs. Matt MacGrath (5-0) – Welterweight Division
Two undefeated welterweights will clash at MFC 16, MacGrath still wants to fight ford and a victory over Veach can reassure his seriousness. Veach who also train’s with the H.I.T squad doesn’t seem to be too worried about his Canadian opponent. MacGrath is a big boy at 170 with awesome takedowns and I’m a little worried about Veach is strength because he usually fights at “155”. My guess: MacGrath by Decision.
Benson Henderson (4-1) vs. Mike Maestas (5-1) – Lightweight Division
This has fight of the night written all over it, two guys with speed and incredible hands will go head to head in the MFC lightweight division. Maestas is coming off a huge win against formerly undefeated sensation Ryan Heck and he wants to finish this fight with a bang to get a chance at the MFC lightweight championship. My guess: Maestas by TKO round 3.
Chris Camozzi (7-1) vs. Dwayne Lewis (4-3) – Middleweight Division
Camozzi was beating on Forbes at MFC 15 like he stole his last oreo cookie, but at the end of the third the lord himself rescued forbes by slapping on a slick armbar forcing camozzi to tap and receive his first loss. Dwayne Lewis always come ready for a war and has only lost via decisions and he expects nothing less from this fight. Lewis started his career eating cheesecake in the heavyweight division, drop down to 205 by dropping by the extra sugar in the raspberry sauce, now he’s ready to be a middleweight I guess he’s cheesecake free. Will Camozzi be able to use his reach against a bigger stronger Lewis? My guess: Camozzi by KO round 1
Aron Lofton (2-0) vs. Jason Kuchera (3-0) – Light Heavyweight Division
Don’t blink in this one, Lofton and Kuchera are two very similar fighters using strength, power and aggression to quickly finish there opponents. Lofton has beaten both his opponents in less then a minute, while Kuchera did the same in his first two fights, but we know he has some gas in his tank when he defeated Hope by KO in round 2 at MFC 15. I’m not too familiar with Lofton so my guess: Kuchera by KO round 1
Gavin Neil (3-0) vs. Ryan McGillivray (6-2) – Welterweight Division
McGillivray is back on track after two back to back losses, now he face’s off a very game opponent in Neil. Hand’s down Neil is the better striker with vicious power in both hands. Now McGillivray wrestling and takedowns are accurate and devastating will Neil be able to stop McGillivray takedowns with strikes? And what happens when it hits the dirt like a cow tipping contest. Will McGillivray thicker frame be enough to stop Neil’s technique? My Guess: Neil by TKO round 2
Brandon Curts (2-1) vs. Shawn Wright (2-1) – Middleweight Division
(may not be broadcast)
Middleweight preliminary showdown, don’t know much about Curts other then he just recently joined Team Tompkins which probably improved his all around game but mostly his striking. Wright has slick submission skills, and has deadly kicks a very unorthodox well rounded fighter. My guess: Wright by RNC round 1
Jeremy Martin vs. Mike Sorenson (2-1) – Welterweight Division
(may not be broadcast)
Martin is a wrestler who has great positioning and heavy hands, Sorenson has great Muay Thai strikes and has a heart of a lion showcased in his only loss to welterweight sensation Ryan Ford. Martin who is Fords training partner looks to make a big debut in the MFC welterweight division. My Guess: Martin by Decision
Troy Sorensen (2-0) vs. Mike Tubbs (1-1) – Lightweight Division
(may not be broadcast)
Two very technical fighters in every aspect of the game, I predict this one to go the distance the full 3 5 minute rounds. My Guess: Tubbs by Decision
Dave Nippard (1-0) vs. Evan Sanquin (4-2) – Lightweight Division
(may not be broadcast)
Nippard made an impressive debut at MFC 15 with an 8 second KO victory as a last second replacement, now he faces off against Jason MacDonald’s newest student in Sanquin. My Guess: Sanquin by Submission round 2
