"Hardest Test Yet"
I watched MFC 15 Live courtesy of HDnet from my home here in California. The
fights we're awesome from top to bottom, but there was one guy who really
impressed me, they say he's kind of a "Big Deal" Ryan Jimmo.
Zellner was no push over I've seen him fight here in the states and he's a
warrior, but as soon as the bell rang Jimmo just dominated from start to
finish. For such a big guy his kicks impressed me - quick, hard and very
accurate, must be from his extensive Karate background.
When the fight hit the ground, Jimmo's ground control was flawless holding
Zellner down and landing vicious strikes including hard rights, beautiful
hammer fists and slicing elbows. His transition's starting with his guard
pass to his quick movements from side control to full mount we're very
technical the great part was is that Jimmo never stopped striking and this
was the key to victory. Jimmo's strikes sliced and cut Zellner in a couple
different places making blood leek everywhere leading to Zellner's Blindness
which was the beginning of the end for the American.
In a Panic for recovery Zellner gave up his back and Jimmo capitalized on
the first chance he could to submit the bloodied up American standout with a
rear naked choke. Jimmo only needed one round to finish off his "Hardest
test yet" in Craig "The Big Z" Zellner at MFC 15.
"Finally in the Spotlight"
Ryan Jimmo is teammate to MFC world Light Heavyweight Champion Roger "The
Hulk" Hollett who is sidelined for the next 8months with a knee injury. To
be blunt Hollett's injury is the best thing to happen to Jimmo at this point
in his career, "The Big Deal's" skills has been overshadowed by Hollett's
success in the MFC. Jimmo deserves the spotlight and he will do big things
in the Light Heavyweight division.
"Just in"
Ryan Jimmo who is on a 5 fight winning streak will face off against, 2 times
K-1 Bellagio winner - a man that had two opponents back out due to injury to
fight him at MFC 15 - Steve Steinbeiss from Arizona Combat Sports in Tempe ,
Arizona. This is a stacked fight with a lot of skill in one ring, two big
men with very technical strikes will go head to head to see who will move up
the ranks in the 205(LHW) Division. MFC 16 Anger Management Live Friday May
9th from the River Cree Resort and Casino only on HDNet.
