MFC fills out card for Hostile Takeover

The MFC has filled out its lineup for its July 25 event, headlined by a fight between Ryan (The Real Deal) Ford and veteran Drew Fickett for the vacant welterweight title.
MFC 17: Hostile Takeover , will take place at the River Cree Resort and Casino just outside Edmonton and will be shown live on HDNet throughout Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
HDNet and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will be in attendance at ringside.
Ford, an Edmonton native and rising star in the organization, will look to remain undefeated and become the first welterweight champion in MFC history.
Meanwhile, three lightweight fights highlighting the main card were also announced Monday.
Hard-punching Texan Jason Maxwell will make his MFC debut as he takes on Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Santino Defranco.
American Top Team member Ricardo Tirloni will also make his first trek into MFC territory as he goes up against Ben Henderson, who is coming off a successful appearance at MFC 16 with his victory over Mike Maestas.
And Ryan Machan will ride his three-fight winning streak into a showdown with Ryan Heck.
Also featured on the main card, middleweight Brad Zazulak, who is making his return since a triumph over legendary showman Shonie Carter, will take on fellow veteran Ron Faircloth. And (The Poster Boy) Aron Lofton, a victor over Jason Kuchera at MFC 16, will look to keep his unbeaten run intact when he squares off against Dwayne Lewis in a light-heavyweight bout.
Among the highlights from the preliminary bouts, Kuchera will take on Jay Whitford and Evan Sanguin, who is trained by UFC star Jason (The Athlete) MacDonald, takes on unbeaten Gavin Neil.
