Ryan Heck is set to take on American sensation Mike Maestas at MFC 15: Rags to Riches. Heck (5-0) just avenged his best friend’s loss at MFC 14 defeating Don Sanchez by decision. Heck outwrestled, out punched and out fought the American all three rounds. His superior wrestling is what ideally won the fight as Heck’s ground transitions where flawless.

Don Sanchez beat Ryan “the kid” McGillivray at MFC 13, Ryan Heck who is “The Kid’s” best friend wanted to avenge his loss, he did just that by beating Sanchez at MFC 14. Now Sanchez’s best friend and training partner (Maestas) is coming to try and avenge his best friend’s loss by beating Heck. So it’s on.

Mike Maestas is no joke; he’s not only coming to avenge his best friend’s loss but also looking to make waves in the MFC lightweight division. Maestas a native of New Mexico is on a 4 fight winning streak since losing his mma debut to Hawaiian sensation Kolo Koka by decision.

Maestas one of Carlos Condit’s main training partner’s doesn’t think Heck will be that hard to beat, and says there styles match up very well together.

Will Maestas be able to beat the undefeated Heck and avenge his best friend’s loss or will Heck shut down the American and make his way that much closer to that MFC world lightweight title shot?
