Welterweight’s added to MFC 16
Filler-Matt Miller - April 2, 2008

Undefeated Matt Macgrath (5-0) will make his MFC return Friday May 9th at MFC 16 Anger Management. The 170 pound Judo technician will look to slam his way through Hawaiian sensation Kaipo Miller (2-0). Don’t be fooled by Miller’s record he has a vast experience in this sport and has been around for a long time.

This welterweight showdown between two possible undefeated contenders in the welterweight division will open a lot of eyes. I can’t wait to see this match-up as both fighters are very well rounded…who will be ready for the next step?

The Welterweight Division:

Macgrath (5-0) seems determined to put a stop to Kaipo, and he seems like after finishing that task that he would like a shot at the Vacant MFC welterweight championship. On the other hand Miller (2-0) has been in this game for a long time and will look to finish Macgrath quickly to become (3-0). Maybe after 1 or two more win’s he will be in line for a shot as well but will his experience shine through?

Ford (5-0) just finished off Pete Spratt (7x UFC vet), another win at MFC 16 and will boost himself up to (6-0) which can potentially put him right in the mix of things as well, really right now Ford is the man to beat in the welterweight division after seeing his last performance against Spratt.

The Kid is back on track; McGillivray (6-2), a win against undefeated Rising star Gavin Neil (3-0) can put him back in Line as well, with his new attitude a belt might be in the near future. Neil is no slouch – a win against the fresh “new Kid” in McGillivray can boost him up in the mix in the welterweight division. Neil who is a great Kickboxer with a very technically sound ground game can cause a lot of damage.
