Brad Zazulak: a name you should remember
Filler with Matt Miller
. - Sept 20,/2007

Brad Zazulak raises some eyebrows! A new name to MMA compared to his opponent, a prodigy of BTT Canada, a 22year career in national judo in which he has won many medals and championships, and the owner of Hayabusa fight wear which makes him Infamous in Canada is Luke Harris.

MFC Lucky 13 - August 24th, 2007

Brad Zazulak vs. Luke Harris

-Zazulak comes in with a big right dropping Harris to his back, Zazulak follows up with a flurry making the ref pull him off the bloodied Harris.- Winner by TKO round 1 Brad Zazulak.

Reporter asks- Zazulak What happened during the fight?

Brad: " I took him out, they thought he was a big contender, I took him out quick"

That's classic, at 2-0 in the MFC we might have a new star.

Not only does he knock people out in the ring, he doesn't hold back punches outside the ring - humble but blunt is the young Brad Zazulak.

"I'm making a career out of this, there's no losing for me, I have a very strong future in this sport" He tells reporters.

Zazulak trains 6 days a week, strength training, a lot of sprint workouts, and lots of hard drills over at Bowman's/ Miletich systems along side Mike Sorenson, Dwayne Lewis and Jason Randle up in Fort Mac. Many good fighters are coming out of that stable.

Brad Zazulak is starting to make waves in his weight class, but is the time coming to quick? Is he ready for the next step? If it was up to him, he would fight Patrick Cote for the MFC world middleweight championship.

"I'd step up and fight anybody, any day, whoever Mark Pavelich tells me to fight that's who I'm fighting and that's the bottom line. People might think that I'm talking out of my ass but I would love a title shot, I would love that opportunity. I know I only have two fights and two wins but people don't know my skill level.

November 23rd at MFC 14 High Rollers Brad Zazulak faces his next test when he faces off against 5-1 Gibson Pankration prodigy Craig Sloan. Sloan's only loss comes to former MFC world light heavyweight champion Victor Valimaki, and now coming back to his weight class to take on rising star Brad Zazulak.

Brad will be looking to finish the fight as always. "I love to ground and pound, basically that feeling of knocking someone out is amazing it's hard to explain, a good knee to the head is always satisfying"

Zazulak's professional mixed martial arts career as just started but he has been training in the game for a long time. He has traveled to Thailand for a few years and admitted to me that the training was very intense and the heat was very hard to get use to. Down there he trained with K-1 fighters and pride fighters that were getting ready for upcoming fights, which really improved his striking ability. He loves to train and he loves to fight.

" I love to keep myself in the best possible shape, I love the rush, being push to my limits I'm an adrenaline junkie."

Not only is he in great physical shape but his mental ability to stay grounded is undeniable. His confidence strikes me as scary!

"There's not a doubt in my mind that I will one day be a world champion, but there's no rush for me. The MFC puts on a great show, they really take care of there fighters a lot of thanks goes out to the guys that put it on, it's definitely the best show in Canada, and this is were I want to be Champion first and foremost."

Final Words:

I'd like to say thank you to all my supporters and fans, I will keep putting on great fights for you to watch, and Thank you to all the guys at Bowman's who have helped me so much.

Brad Zazulak a name you should remember. That's it that's all for now. I'm Matt Miller and this was another edition of the Filler.
