“Fighting” Shipp.
By Matt Miller. May 14,/2007

UFC powerhouse Wade “The Nightmare” Shipp looks to run over Heavyweight #1 contender Scott “Punk Haole” Junk for the MFC world heavyweight title at MFC 12 High Stakes June 22nd, 2007. Shipp wanted this fight so bad that his manager actually made the phone call over to the Maximum Fighting Championship and asked to fight Junk for the heavyweight title.

Shipp wants to fight the best and Junk is the fastest rising star in the heavyweight division, with his only loss being his first fight ever, on short notice against former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez. Junk at 6’0 295pounds was told by the Pittsburgh Stealers he was to small to play his position. Knowing he couldn’t put any more weight on his 6’0 frame or he would explode he decided that his passion would go into MMA. Early on in his career he was scouted by Famous B.J Penn to fight for his team. Junk decided to take the challenge and he lived with Penn for 9months while they trained together.

Scott Junk’s nickname is “Punk Haole” which is referring to him being white and living in Hawaii. Growing up wasn’t easy for the Punk as he got in many fights for being a “Haole” in other words white. Scott Junk who’s making his childhood hobby his career is ready to fight for the World Title.

Junk The #1 Contender for the MFC title does not care who his fighting because fighting is in his blood, and his team in Hawaii MMAD get him ready for any opponent. After hearing that Wade Shipp asks for this fight he didn’t take it as a complement and his ready to show him what a true athletic heavyweight fights like “He asked for it now his gonna get it” He said. Junk stands at 6’0 265 pounds and moves like his a lightweight while Wade Shipp stands at 6’3 245 and hits like a Mack truck. Someone’s going to sleep. Junk takes on Shipp for the world heavyweight title; this fight headlines the already stacked MFC 12 – High Stakes. Here’s quick filler and I’m Matt Miller.
